Πρόκειται για ένα χώρο που διαρθρώνεται ως μια επαναλαμβανόμενη μονάδα πάνω σε ένα σύστημα καννάβου. Οι μονάδες αυτές έχουν σταθερό πλάτος και μήκος, ενώ το ύψος τους κυμαίνεται από 20 cm έως 4,8 m. Ενδιαφέρον ήταν ο συνδυασμός των βυθίσεων και ανυψώσεων του εδάφους με τις έντονες διαφοροποιήσεις στα ύψη των μονάδων. Υπάρχει μεγάλη ποικιλία εναλλαγών επομένως και εντυπώσεων στον επισκέπτη.

It is all about a site that is structured as a grid system consisted of repeated units. These units have fixed width and length, while the height varies from 20 cm to 4.8 m. The combination of dips and height peeks of the terrain merged to sharp variations in the heights of the units stimulated our interest.

Επίσης, η επανάληψη της μονάδας δημιουργεί ένα περίπλοκο περιβάλλον που δημιουργεί διαφορετικά αισθήματα όπως φόβος και απόγνωση, όταν μπει κανείς βαθιά στον λαβύρινθο, απομόνωση και ηρεμία, εάν βρεθεί μόνος στο εσωτερικό, όπου μπορεί να ακούσει τον ίδιο του το βηματισμό και μόνο να αντηχεί στο χώρο.

 

Also, the repetition of the unit creates a complex environment that generates different feelings such as fear and despair, when one gets deep in the labyrinth, solitude and peace if found alone in the inside, where the only sound to be echoed is their one steps in the space around.

 

Στο παρόν διάγραμμα γίνεται απόπειρα αποτύπωσης των εντάσεων στο ύψος των μονάδων , που δημιουργούν κάποιες εστίες άλλοτε με πυκνώσεις και άλλοτε με αραίωση. Δίπλα, αποτυπώνεται η αποδόμηση του οικoπέδου, με την έννοια ότι καθώς βγαίνουμε προς τα άκρα του μνημείου οι μονάδες αραιώνουν, απομακρύνονται και τοποθετούνται άτακτα σε η μία σε σχέση με την άλλη. Όπως μπορούμε να διακρίνουμε καλύτερα δεξιά, ο πυκνός πυρήνας του εσωτερικού αρχίζει να διαλύεται προς τα άκρα.

This diagram is an attempt to depict the tensions of the heights of the units, which create focal points with either densifications or dilutions. Subsequently, the net diagram illustrates the deconstruction of the site, meaning that as we move to the exits of the monument the units are placed further from each other, in random positions with different relations to each other. This is clearly distinguishable on the right graph, where the densed core beginns to dissolve while heading to the edges.
